The Norwegian company Russia Baltic Pork Invest (RBPI, a producer of pork on a live weight basis) is considering an option of construction of a fifth pig breeding farm in the Nizhny Novgorod region. The company has already built two pig breeding farms in the region for 180,000 livestock units each and is finishing the construction of two more.
AGC Bor Glass Factory (BGF) will invest RUB 3.3 billion in the reconstruction of the polish glass manufacturing line. According to the regional government, it is expected that investment project will be assigned a priority status. This resolution was approved by the Presidium of the Development and Investment Strategy Council under the Governor on August 10.
Stada Group expects to spend about EUR 10 million to switch a number of its pharmaceuticals from foreign sites to the Nizhpharm plant in Nizhny Novgorod in the coming three years.
The company will invest EUR 10 million in new equipment for the production of glass vials for medicines, expecting to double their production and increase their market share and exports.
The project will be implemented by Pravdinskoe Pork Production 2 (member of Russia Baltic Pork Invest (RBPI Group), Norway, whose major holder is Charoen Pokphand Foods, a Thai investment fund.
The investments will make about RUB 10 billion,with almost 500 new jobs to be created.
Volkswagen has announced the launch of production of the Taos SUV at the GAZ Group plant in Nizhny Novgorod. Investments in Taos production amounted to EUR 63 million (about RUB 6 bn).
