The Tai Charoen Pokphand Foods (CP Foods) announced the purchase of a major Russian pork producer, APK Don The announcement was posted on the website of the Stock Exchange of Thailand.
Ekaterina Eliseeva, the Director General of Bonduelle in Eurasia, confirmed the company's plans to localize the production of frozen vegetables in Russia. The enterprise will be opened on the basis of the Shebekinsky vegetable plant that went bankrupt in the Belgorod Region, the Vedomosti newspaper writes.
Veronesi Holding, an Italian poultry producer, returned to the project to expand its turkey operations in the Belgorod Region. It had previously bought out the Belgorod bankrupt poultry farm of Gertsevskaya to produce approximately 4,500 tons of turkey meat in live weight. Kommersant reports quoting the regional department of economic development that this year would see the construction of its new production facility next to the existing one and that Veronesi Holding plans to invest in it around 500 million rubles.
Hochland Russland, LLC (subsidiary of German Hochland SE) has launched a brined soft cheese line in the Prokhorovsky district of the Belgorod Region. This was reported in the Region Economic Development Department. As a result, the enterprise production capacity was doubled, 8 thousand sq. m of additional production and storage space were built. The company's demand for raw milk in 2020 increased to 70 thousand tons. The project was implemented at the company's own expense — RUB 1.5 billion, the payback period will be four years.
Thai CP Foods planning to buy Ostankino Meat Processing Plant in 2017 may acquire another asset. It is now interested in Belgorod-based BEZRK-Belgrankorm holding company, one of the Top 5 Russian poultry producers. The transaction cost may reach 20 billion rubles.
Today, Governor Evgeniy Savchenko, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of India Pankaj Saran and Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Sergey Tsyb opened the first plant that Indian investors built in Russia from scratch. Advance Pharma was established due to the support of the Embassy of India, Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Government of Belgorod Region. “This is just the beginning, we have a lot of work to do,” said Yevgeny Savchenko. “This project is very important not only for the region but for Russia as a whole: it will manufacture unique products for treatment of tuberculosis, HIV, oncology, and a wide range of diseases.” Advanced Pharmaceuticals, a member of Advanced Trading group of companies, acts as the investor. It has been operating in the Russian pharmaceutical market since 2003, being the official supplier of medicines of the Indian producer Macleods Pharmaceuticals Limited.
